Why my dog thinks she is a human
Matthew and I always joke around about how Chloe thinks she is a human. She can't stand to not be around people all the time. If we are eating, she is eating. If we are napping, she is napping. If we are watching tv, well she is still napping. She is always with us! She can't stand to be left alone, not in anxiety but just because she thinks she is a human. It hit me this morning why she thinks this, maybe because we talk to her like a human.
For example, first thing this morning we had a conversation....
Me: Good morning Chloe! Did you sleep well?
Chloe: still sleeping
Me: He can't take you out this morning, I have to. You are going to have to wait a minute.
Chloe: Blank stare
Me: Just a couple more minutes Chloe, I'm packing my bag for work.
Chloe: Blank stare
Me: Ok, are you ready to go outside?
Chloe: Jumps up on the drawer and waits for her leash.
Me: Stop jerking me Chloe and don't dart out into the parking lot
Chloe: Keeps running
Me: Good girl, Chloe. Time to go back in.
Chloe: Darts out into parking lot again
Me: Ok Chloe, I have to go to work now. Be a good girl and have a good day. I will see you when I get home.
Chloe: blank stare
I can't help it....she is my baby.
