Sunshine and Tears
Yesterday was such a beautiful day! One of those days where your favorite song and a cool breeze is a little piece of heaven. So on my way home from work, I enjoyed both. I relished in one of my new favorites by Kings of Leon as well as having the windows down. As I was sitting in traffic I looked up and noticed the young lady in the car behind me crying. Of course I immediately thought to myself, why is she crying? Was she just having a bad day, did she get dumped, did someone close to her pass away, had she lost her job, etc, etc? Gosh, I wanted to give her a hug but I was in my car sitting in traffic.
How many times do we go throughout our days so focused on the sunshine in our own lives that we ignore the tears around us? How many times do we walk by people who are hurting without recognizing them? There is so much hurt in this world. The only way to fix it is with Jesus!
Make a point today to notice someone around you who is hurting and show them the love of Christ!
"Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn." Romans 12:15
