Patience during the Process

God is using everything around me right now to scream, "Patience, Megan, Patience!!" I am really bad at the waiting game. Maybe it is because I am used to getting what I want, when I want it. Or maybe it is because I don't understand the importance of patience and how God uses it for His glory in my life. I am so caught up right now with what God wants of me. But, I know what He wants. He wants me to experience the fullness of Christ, and the way to this is through trial and tribulations. I am really struggling being patient through this process. I have become like a child who don't know the difference between "NO" and "Not Yet". If you say, "Wait a While" to a child, it is the same as saying "No" because they want it now. God is interested in maturing us into the likeness of Christ. An old Danish proverb says, "Give to a pig when it grunts and give to a child when it cries, and you will have a fine pig and a bad child." Tribulation brings patience, and patience makes us mature. Is there something you are waiting on? Is there something you are struggling with? Give it to Jesus and trust in His timing and His provision!!

"Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." James 1:2-4
